Plantarium is the leading international tree nursery trade fair.
Participants from 15 different countries and trade visitors from 48 countries underline the international nature of the fair and make Plantarium the leading wholesale market for tree nursery products in Europe.
At Plantarium, around 300 exhibitors from various countries will be showcasing a huge range of tree nursery products for the consumer market in pots and containers and as bare-rooted products.
Supplier companies will also be displaying the latest developments.
Plantarium is an important platform for all the channels involved in the sale of tree nursery products.
Awards
Four awards are presented at Plantarium, namely:
a) the best novelty award
b) the press award
c) the best green stand award (the Rabobank trophy)
d) the best supplier award (the Plantarium trophy)
Novelties
New plants are plants which are introduced at Plantarium, having been bred by companies both at home and abroad, and are judged by the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society.
The presentation of new plants has attracted a great deal of interest from national and international trade visitors and trade press for many years.
Have you developed a new plant? If so, the Plantarium novelty awards provide the perfect opportunity to draw attention to your product.
Press award (only for exhibitors)
The press award is awarded by a jury of trade journalists from the Netherlands and abroad.
This award attracts a great deal of international publicity.
The press award is presented in two categories: Garden plants (in the broad sense, i.e. suitable for the garden, terrace, and balcony) and Concepts.
Do you have a new or uniquely presented plant which clearly stands out from other products because of its added value and is widely available?
Or do you have a concept which you are sure will be popular with the retail trade and consumers?
If so, make sure you enter your product for the Press Award at Plantarium.
Stand Awards
The biggest international tree nursery exhibition held in the Netherlands demands an objective assessment of the stands, which has the full support of the stand holders.
The stand awards are good for the sector as a whole and appeal to the exhibitors because of the publicity value and the ensuing recognition of the company and its employees. The stands are assessed by the judging committee of the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society.
The stands are judged on the basis of quality, stand presentation/communication and range, by separate jury committees.
A value is assigned to each of the three criteria: quality takes precedence, followed by the stand presentation/communication and finally the range available on the stand.
For each criterion, the following are evaluated:
Quality
– What is the quality of the products on display?
– What is the growing performance of the products on display?
Presentation/communication
– Design/arrangement?
– Which message is conveyed by the stand?
– Labeling/banners?
– Are the selling points clearly communicated?
Range
– How is specialist the range on display?
– How interesting is the range on display?
Participants do not need to put themselves forward for the stand awards.

Admission prices for trade visitors from 23 to 26 August 2017
Trade visitors can visit the fair free of charge by using the complimentary ticket provided and/or by means of digital preregistration (possible from 1 June 2017).
Without preregistration, the admission price is €10 p.p.
Admission prices for consumers on Saturday 26 August 2017
The admission price for consumers is €5 p.p.
Children up to the age of 12 can enter for free.
