Based in Dublin City Centre

Who you’ll be working for:
A successful, award-winning and well recognised, family-owned Landscape Contracting company based in North County Dublin who have recently secured a number of large urban landscape construction projects for completion in 2018.

What you’ll need to have:
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of setting out and leveling in commercial hard landscape projects. They may also have one or more appropriate engineering qualifications. We consider a verifiable track record of experience in leveling and setting out as being more important than qualifications.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Responsibility for setting-out and leveling across a range of city-center based landscape construction projects.
  • Acting as the main technical adviser on a construction site for company staff and subcontractors.
  • Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant.
  • Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client.
  • Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
  • Communicating with clients, foremen, project managers and senior management.
  • Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Preparing reports as required.
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

Position duration: The position will be Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work where the project requires. The position is expected to run until December 2018 but the successful candidate will be able to avail of a number of career opportunities in the company.
