Assistant Contracts Manager – SAP Landscapes

SAP Landscapes require an Assistant Contracts Manager

Field-based work required approx. 75% of the working week.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Duties:

  • Manage a range of small landscaping projects, primarily but not exclusive to the Leinster area
  • Ensure crews are carrying out works in accordance with the scope and schedules of works
  • Visit sites to ensure crews are working to the best of their ability and provide guidance & advice in relation to work being carried out
  • Undertake manual labour if required in order to support a crew / demonstrate how work should be done
  • Generate daily, weekly & monthly reports as required by the clients & SAP operations in relation to site visit reports, vehicle reports, audits etc
  • Provide quotations for small landscape projects which will include site visits to survey requirements, material sourcing and estimation of the timescale of projects
  • Source best materials required for works and prepare service crews for service delivery
  • Checking standards of works completed, snagging and actioning of below standard work
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety policies & procedures.  Liaise with the H&S officer on an ongoing basis to ensure that these regulations are met by all crews. Report any accidents or incidents to the H&S Department immediately – Investigate these accidents/incidents in conjunction with the H&S Department
  • Manage client’s expectations & needs in relation to maintenance works. Be a point of contact for them to discuss any concerns or feedback that they may have.
  • Represent the company in a professional and proficient manner
  • Assist annually with fellow Managers in relation to the management and delivery of winter maintenance services

  • Organisational skills are key to ensure you manage your crews and sites in coordination, guaranteeing all jobs are completed in a timely & efficient manner and to clients’ expectations
  • Excellent planning & time management skills in order to structure each day to work to your maximum ability
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills in order to build up strong relationships with existing clients & new potential customers

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years foreperson / manager experience in the landscaping industry
  • Valid Safe Pass is essential
  • Full Driving Licence
